However, it is important to note that reducing your salt intake to 1500mg or even less is hardly associated with any health benefits such as a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases, even though it can successfully reduce blood pressure.

Nevertheless, if you are a patient of high blood pressure or consider yourself as a salt-sensitive person, DASH diet may be perfect for you. But if you are a healthy person, the benefits of this dietary strategy may be unclear.
