Not just one but many studies discussed that the Royal Society of Medicine roundtable found that drinking coffee has been associated with lowering the risk of death. The meta-analyses of different studies found that coffee drinkers experience a 17% low risk of death by all possible causes. These results are much more significant when compared with the people that do not drink coffee at all.

Another study from the researchers of the Imperial College London, in the U.K., in collaboration with IARC, found that participants with the highest coffee consumption have the lowest risk of mortality and health problems leading towards it. Find out more about it by clicking here.

Additionally, more research looks into the consumption of coffee and the reduction of mortality risk among them. The association and linkage between coffee and the risk of death are clear among US citizens that consume one cup of coffee each day. This risk is 12% less as compared with noncoffee drinkers.

When trying to find the reason that why coffee has such health benefits, some of the researchers at the Royal Society of Medicine roundtable suggested that there are chances of a contributory factor to it. As caffeine alone may not have a strong enough effect to cause it.

However, the senior scientists say that coffee has a high amount of polyphenols. These polyphenols are the naturally occurring substances that show an antioxidant effect. Due to these properties, polyphenols prevent inflammation. They also protect against stress and the aging process even at the cellular level.  Many studies have suggested these benefits of coffee.
